Clerk AI secures a credit facility from Espresso Capital to accelerate its enterprise conversational AI platform

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — July 15, 2026 — Espresso Capital announced today that it has provided Clerk AI, an enterprise conversational AI platform, with a senior credit facility. The company will use the capital to accelerate product development and expand its go-to-market efforts.

Founded by Alexander Haque, Igor Boshoer, and Will Chertoff, Clerk AI enables businesses to deploy AI agents that make and receive calls, send and respond to SMS, RCS, and WhatsApp messages, and integrate natively with Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom. Clerk AI is one of a select group of approved Google RCS business messaging partners and is an approved Microsoft Operator Connect provider.

“What stood out about Espresso was their willingness to really understand our business before structuring a solution,” says Alexander Haque, CEO of Clerk AI. “We’re a fast-moving company operating at the intersection of AI, telecom, messaging, and enterprise software — it’s not a straightforward story to tell. Espresso took the time to get it, and the facility they structured for us reflects that. We’re excited to have them as a partner.”

“Clerk AI has built a genuinely differentiated product in a fast-growing market,” says Mark Gilbert, Managing Director at Espresso Capital. “By enabling intelligent voice and RCS agents directly within the platforms enterprises already use, Clerk AI removes the adoption friction that holds back so many communication tools. We’re pleased to be supporting them in this next phase.”
